Here’s the thing...Not long ago I was asking those EXACT same questions

  • Would daily self-care really change my life or is it just woo woo bullshit?

  • How am I supposed to make time for myself when I can barely keep up with everything else that needs my attention?

  • Can a plant REALLY fix my sleep problems? Those sleeping pills the doctor gave me were supposed to work.

The answer to that last question came after a major wakeup call...

I FELL ASLEEP DRIVING 😳🙀😳

After ignoring my insomnia for YEARS just ‘pushing through’ the days tired & exhausted (sound familiar?) my body finally said “Stacy Enough!” and shut down on my way to work.

That scary wake-up call led me down a path of trying all types of things to help me sleep, including prescription sleeping pills that worked all of 2 weeks 🥴 

I started smoking weed with the intention to fix my sleep problems and quickly realized how beneficial it is when combined with self-care after my first high yoga class.

I felt more at ease in the postures that challenged me. 

I felt super connected to my mind, body & soul throughout the class. 

I could feel & hear my breath so deeply   

Now, my self-care ALWAYS includes cannabis! And guess what? It even helps with staying consistent!

Hi! I'm the CEO of MaryZeal.com and Host of the High on Self Care podcast where I empower women who love cannabis to live full abundant live by prioritizing self-care.

Cannabis literally changed my life. 

For years, I ignored my insomnia thinking I was making it through...until I fell asleep driving. That was my wake-up call to finally take my sleep issues seriously so I did the millennial thing...I started Googling all the things.

I tried melatonin, not drinking caffeine after 2 pm, essential oils, sleep stories...you name it I tried it. Nothing worked consistently.  

At my wit's end, a doctor prescribed me sleeping pills that worked GREAT 🥳 for all of 2 weeks 😔.  The doctor told me that people build up a tolerance to sleeping pills and recommended that I take the pills off and on for 2 weeks at a time.

So, my options were:

✨ Sleep great for 2 weeks and then not sleep for 2 weeks; OR

✨ Try the newly recreationally legal cannabis in Las Vegas where I lived

I chose recreational weed (despite my job doing randoms) and have never looked back. To this day, cannabis helps me with sleep and I now incorporate it into my daily self-care routines to go deeper.

✅  Get regular, well-rested sleep so that I wake up feeling energized

✅  Deepen my meditations and yoga practice so that I give my peeps (that's you!) my best

✅  Heighten my awareness in journaling so that I stay aligned with my desires rather than running on autopilot (sound familiar 😬)
